An oboe performer, currently a professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, a master's tutor, a general secretary of the Shangyin Middle School, a vice president, a vice chairman of the China Wind Music Society, a president of the Shanghai Music Association, a member of the International Double Spring Association, and a Shanghai Music Association. Sun Minghong was born in Shanghai in December 1959. He was admitted to the High School Attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1973. He was admitted to the undergraduate degree in 1978 and studied under Mr. Chen Su'an. Since 1980, he has studied under Professor Zhou Songshan and Professor Sha Jianlin. In 1982, he graduated with a total score and stayed on as a teacher. He participated in the establishment of the widely acclaimed "WESTLAKE" Wind and Quintet Group and conducted a national tour. In 1986, he was awarded a full scholarship from the French government to study at the Louise Conservatory of Music in Paris, France. He studied under the world famous obedient educator and performance master P. PIERLOT and Hans Holiger (H). .HOLLIGE), C. MESSONEVE, M. BOURGUE and other professors. In 1987, he won the first prize of the Oboe Advanced Class of the Paris Louise Conservatory of Music. In 1988, he won the Gold Medal for the Advanced Diploma in Oboe. In 1989, he returned to China and continued to serve as an alto oboe lecturer. In 1992, he was promoted to an associate professor. In 1996, he was again promoted to a professor and served as the head of the upper chord department. In 2002, he was hired as the first batch of academic leaders by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. His tutoring student ensemble has won many second prizes in the national competition. In October 2008, his professional students Yu Xiaorui and Tang Xiaobin won the first and third place in the national wood tube competition oboe. He himself has won the Ministry of Culture many times. The China Academy of Music Association awarded the Outstanding Instructor Award and the Shanghai Music Academy He Luting Fund Award and the Shanghai Literature and Art Talent Outstanding Teacher Award.
In addition to busy administrative and teaching work, Professor Sun Minghong often participates in various performances and music production activities. As the special oboe chief, he has visited many countries and regions with various orchestras, and the art activities are quite frequent. He has held concerts, master classes and invited judges in various local wind music competitions in the United States, France, Britain, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and other countries and regions. In the country, he planned to host various national large-scale wind music performances and organized and reviewed major competitions such as the Ministry of Culture and the China Music Association Golden Bell Award. Since 2007, he has been invited by the International Double Spring Association as a professional representative from mainland China to attend the annual meeting of the association and hold concerts and other artistic exchange activities. He is the author of "The Voice of the Oboe" and "The Breathing Problem of the Oboe", and has edited many oboe works, test albums and translations of teaching practice songs. The China Recording Society recorded and published a personal oboe performance album for him: "Rose and Ribbon". Not long ago, the Shanghai Music Publishing House recorded and published a second album of Chinese and foreign oboe works for him.
